Frequently asked questions

Honest answers, before you even ask

These are the questions we hear most from small businesses and nonprofits. If yours isn't here, just ask.

Is the AI assessment really free? What's the catch?

Yes, really free, and there's no catch. You fill out a short form, we do our homework on your organization, and we talk through where AI could help you. If it makes sense to work together after that, great. If not, you still walk away with useful direction.

We do it this way because guessing at a proposal without understanding your organization first would waste your money and our integrity.

What if AI isn't right for us?

Then we'll tell you that. Our promise is to figure out if and where AI fits, and sometimes the honest answer is "not yet" or "not for this." We'd rather lose a project than sell you something you don't need. That's not a slogan, it's the whole reason this company exists.

Will AI replace my staff?

That's not what we build toward. The AI we recommend takes over the repetitive, time-eating tasks (answering the same questions, sorting information, drafting first versions) so your people can spend more time on the work that actually needs a human.

Our founder spent 19 years helping teams adopt new technology, and the pattern is consistent: the goal is people doing better work, not fewer people.

Do I need a tech background to work with you?

Not at all. Most of our clients don't have one. We explain everything in plain language, and we've trained everyone from corporate teams to seniors using AI for the first time. If you can describe what frustrates you about your workday, you know enough to start.

What does it cost?

The assessment is free. After that, cost depends entirely on what you actually need. A training session, a custom chatbot, and an ongoing consulting engagement are very different projects, so we scope and price each one individually after we understand your situation.

What we can promise: you'll see clear pricing before anything starts, with no surprises and no pressure. We work with small business and nonprofit budgets all the time.

Is our information safe? What about our members' or customers' data?

We take this seriously. We never sell or share your information, and when we build AI tools for you, protecting your data (and the data of the people you serve) is part of the design from day one, not an afterthought. We'll also teach your team how to use AI safely, including what should never be pasted into a public AI tool.

Who do you typically work with?

Small and mid-sized businesses and nonprofits. If you're doing meaningful work and don't have an in-house tech team to lean on, you're exactly who we started this company for.

How long does a project take?

It varies by project. A training session can happen within a couple of weeks. A custom chatbot typically takes a few weeks from kickoff to launch. Larger consulting engagements run longer. Whatever the project, you'll get a clear timeline up front and honest updates along the way.

We tried AI before and it didn't stick. Why would this be different?

Because tools don't fail people; rollouts do. Most AI disappointment comes from grabbing a tool first and hoping it fits, with no training and no plan. We work in the opposite order: understand your actual problems, find where AI fits (if it does), then train your people until they're confident using it. Adoption is the product, not the software.

Still have a question?

Ask it in the form, or just tell us what's slowing you down. We'll take it from there.
